Access Statement


The approach to the property from all directions is on the level.

Entrance to Buxton House is through a double wrought iron gate, ( 9’5” wide).
A level concrete path, (23’6” long), leads to the main entrance consisting of a porch doorway, (30” wide), with a low rise step, (4”high).

The Victorian tiled porch floor, (6’3” x 4’10”) leads to the main doorway, (33’5”wide), which leads into the hallway, (11’10” x 12’10”).

To the immediate left, is the entrance, (31”wide) to the dining room/lounge.

Next to this room, is the 1st set of stairs, (34”wide).

These stairs consist of 12 steps, a right turn landing to a further 5 steps onto the large 1st floor landing.

All guest bedrooms are located on this floor. All doorways leading off this landing are (30”wide).

A wooden hand rail runs continuously from the ground floor to the 2nd floor, ( the 2nd floor being owner’s accommodation).

Unfortunately, our Bed & Breakfast is not structurally suitable for the installation of a lift but assistance will always be available when needed.

Local shops and the bus stop are approximately 100 yards from Buxton House and with ample on-street parking you can leave your car and use the local bus service which runs to the town centre every 10 minutes.
